“I wanted to thank the team at Great Sky Solar for their great job installing solar panels at our home. Everyone from Dereck, Sam during planning and Steve, Joey, Gabriel, Valter, Danny, Justin and probably a few others during install. Installing solar at our home is complicated with many trees, multiple roof surfaces, and a desire to match the design of the house. We talked to Tesla and many solar companies including all the big national companies and smaller local companies. Many didn't even know how to start to provide an initial design. Great Sky worked with us as we explored many options of panels, inverters and layouts. The install went very smoothly in spite of starting the day after a blizzard in 10 degree weather. The install team, roofers and electricians, worked patiently with us to ensure a very clean install of the panels and electrical systems including connecting a garage sub panel for EV charging. A solar system with 40 panels was expertly installed and we are monitoring the energy production daily. “I spoke to several different providers while getting quotes for my project, and Great Sky was the most helpful. They spent more time answering my technical questions than convincing me how much money I would save (something I already knew before I decided to buy solar!). They also came in at the lowest cost, by a little. That they don't use contractors for the work was also a big selling point for me.
The installation process was remarkably fast. I had a site visit, and once the build was scheduled, they were in and out in a single day. The panels and power boxes on the side of the house were neatly and cleanly installed, and a hole in the interior wall that was needed near the main panel was repaired quickly and well. Their employees explained the system to me in a patient and helpful manner so that I'd understand how to operate it.
After the install, Great Sky remained communicative as the local power company took several weeks to catch up with their backlog.
All in all a great experience and I highly recommend them for your own solar projects.”
